@fromstudiolockdown wants to signify a message of hope, of positive reflection, an opportunity for innovation, articulated and spread through the universal language of visual arts. Seventeen shortlisted creatives were judged by renowned critics and industry experts including; Terry Smith,  artist / Kate Edwards, picture editor at the guardian / Gabriele Romano, art historian / Elena Francia Gabriel, art curator and advisor / Alma Cecilia Suarez, photographer and researcher at artsy / Chantelle Purcell, curator and Tabish Khan, art critic at Londonist.

Our lives have been unexpectedly and radically changed. With art fairs and exhibitions cancelled or postponed, museums and galleries closed and some artists unable to get to their studio, it has never been so important to support the creative sector and to share hope. Our project aims to provide an exchange platform for artists, a virtual place for sharing creative visions, an opportunity to make new connections to celebrate resilience. @fromstudiolockdown intends to bring people together using humour, poetry and irony at a time of confinement and social distancing.

Throughout 2020 @fromstudiolockdown encouraged artists and creatives to share their experiences of daily life in lockdown. How did the lockdown affect artist's work? Did artists adapt their creative process? What perspectives were shared globally to unite us? Using the hashtag #fromstudiolockdown artists have been sharing work made in isolation, connecting globally.
