Hannah Pittman

Hannah Pittman is a jewellery artist driven by an interest in the effect that objects and jewellery have on us the wearer – the sense of ‘power’ that jewellery holds. By exploring jewellery and related objects throughout history and in the modern day, she examines whether they can have a positive effect and aid towards wellbeing.

Her work is self-analytical while also relatable and explores the relationship between the wearer and jewellery through concepts affecting people’s everyday - specifically wellbeing. Themes of; empowerment, self-image, fertility/infertility, motherhood and pain run through her work. 

Hannah is based in London, having graduated from BDes in Three Dimensional Design (1^st Class Hons) at Manchester School or Art in 2010, followed by a Masters in Goldsmithing, Silversmithing, Metalwork and Jewellery, 2012. She currently teaches at London College of Fashion (UAL) and is planning to commence her PhD in the near future.
